Today I had the opportunity to visit the V&A Museum in London, it was an amazing experience and I'm so pleased I had the chance to visit before the end of my course. In my Research Methods Project, I said one of my aims in the future was to visit this museum.
I also was fortunate enough to view many other costumes and fashion accessories, a few of these included the costumes used on Broadway such as Willy Wonka, The Lion King, Matilda, and many more. The image below is a picture of a costume used for the theatre production of The Lion King. The scale of the final costumes was larger than I had expected.
Finally, I was lucky enough to view an exhibition about Beatrix Potter, this was a brilliant exhibition that will help support my Final project. Observing how Potter designed her characters has given me a different view on how I can design costumes for my characters on an animal body.
