Saucepan Man’s costume took a lot of thought in the designing process; I wanted to create something in union with the other woodland characters. His crazy personality comes through his costume. His top and trousers are made separately using scrap pieces of Jersey fabric. I found the finish on the Jersey fabric looks clean, and neat. It was the finish that I was looking for, I have given him an oversized bow tie made out of felt. I wanted each character to have an element of felt or green fabric as part of their costumes.
The centrepiece of saucepan Man’s costume is his braces; I love to wear my braces. Therefore bringing an element of my style into my final project. By adding the braces it made it possible for me to attach the pots, pans and kettles to his costume. I have attached them to his costume using a single tack which looks enormous due to the size of his costume.
