Gathering together some initial ideas for my 'Advanced Research Methods' module. I'm at a cross roads wondering which way to go. My main two ideas are as follows:
* Study and research Mascot costumes - I am quite inspired by Mascots and how their size and vibrant colours are displayed. There are many Mascots that play a huge role in our lives and communities such as 'Pudsey bear'. It could be an intresting topic to research as it is something completely new. However, I know very little about the construction of the costumes and so it would be a huge challenge. Especially if I was to carry this into my Negotiated Major Project which will begin at the start of February. Or-
* Study and develop my undertanding of Ballroom dancing and costumes - If I was to do this theme it would be very personal to myself and my family as we have all danced and have quite alot of experience in this field. This was one of the main reasons I started this course! Although I'm not a brilliant dancer! I did dance as a child and was fascinated by the costumes (and still am) the small details and of course the sparkle which is very me!
I have added various images below which will help my decison process. I wonder which path I will take and where my research ends up???
