Once all the feet were soldered together and the costumes were made, I added small bits of FIMO clay to the brass plate. This gave the effect that the characters were wearing shoes. I wanted to originally create the shoes out of felt but sadly ran out of time. I realised that all the characters would not necessarily have the same sized shoes. This then gave me the idea of creating smaller ‘shoes’ on the brass plates and painting the access brass plate with the colour base that the character will stand on. I have given each character slightly different colours and shapes for their shoes as if they were real.
The Yellow shoes in the middle are Frannie's, this compliments her yellow/orange top, which she is wearing under her dungarees.
